Michigan Centennial Farm Assocation

Certify Your Farm

You may have your Historic Michigan Farm Certified as either Centennial or Sesquicentennial if it has been continuously owned by your family for at least 100 years, consists of at least ten acres and is actively producing farm products. If your farm is rented to another farmer producing farm products, it would still be Eligible.

You will need to collect documentation of the trans-actions concerning your farm, beginning with the original purchase. If copies are not available, you may submit either a Legal Abstract or copies from the tract index at your County Register of Deeds.

You will also be asked to submit photos of the buildings and to write a brief history of your farm. Click to obtain a CENTENNIAL FARM APPLICATION.

The Centennial Farm Program is administered by the Historical Society of Michigan
